Get your ‘rip snorting’ server here!

Dual rackmount nuxV 1600 now available

With one or two super fast, hyper-threaded 1.6GHz Atom-based boards and an enormous 2GB of RAM per board, the dual rack mount nuxV 1600 is the tiny shiny server with more than enough power to meet any demand.

More than a simple firewall, the stylish nuxV server has the grunt to run dozens of VPNs, route up to 140 phone calls simultaneously, or function as a web or mail server in a hosted environment.

With support for Compact Flash and a 2.5″ hard drive or SSD, the nuxV gives you the flexibility to build the system perfect for your needs.

And if you’ve got a mission critical application and downtime isn’t an option, the nuxV has all you need to build a fully redundant high-availability cluster in a single rack unit.

Using only 10W per board it also has the credentials as a truly “green” server option in an ever increasingly power-hungry server room.

Completely fanless, and built to last, the nuxV is a server you can rely on to be there, all day, every day. It’s the ultimate remedy for the overworked, stressed IT professional.

OMG, could it get any better than this?

Maybe…

Or WIN one here!

Write a case study for your chance to win the ultimate server

To celebrate the launch of our new dual rack mount nuxV 1600, we’re giving one lucky person the chance to win a fully optioned nuxV server, valued at over $2400.

All you have to do is write us a case study, describing how you have used any of the computers in our range, and you’ll go into the major prize draw.

Just follow the entry guidelines to write your submission, and then sit back, cross your fingers and wait for your awesome server to arrive.

And each person who enters will also receive a black ‘Yawarra’ polo shirt, plus your choice of items from our bargain box, up to the value of $100.

It’s also a great opportunity to promote your business or project to everyone who visits our website.

The competition commences today and runs until midnight AEDT on Monday, 28 February 2011.

So visit our ‘Rip Snorter’ competition page for more details, and get writing!

Good luck!

Even more trees?

We’re proud to be greenies

Late last year, our local mayor issued a challenge to local businesses to help plant 100,000 trees in our local Knox council region in 12 months.

At last count, they’d managed around 36,000 trees, and we’re proud to have donated 1,000 trees to the cause.

This means that local businesses can buy our computers knowing that we’re planting trees just around the corner from them.

And it raises the total of trees we’ve planted so far to almost 2,000.

Thanks for your support!

Do you use custom software?

Want us to install it for you?

If you have your own custom image already built, or your own proprietary software, we’re happy to install it for you every time you order from us.

This means that your units will arrive ready-to-go out of the box, saving your technicians time and hassle.

We’ve had experience so far with Mikrotik RouterOS, PUBLICip, Ubuntu Linux (microSD version), EMBCop, Askozia PBX, and more and we’re willing to give anything a go!

Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Bugger!

Geos correction
We mistakenly advertised the Geos as having 1GB RAM, when in fact it only comes with 512MB.

Our apologies for the mistake and any confusion caused.

Christmas & New Years hours

Here we go again with the Silly Season. Things are getting crazy already!

Christmas lunch

We’re taking our awesome staff out for Christmas lunch on Wednesday, 8 December, to say thank you for all their hard work this year.

I think they’ve earned it, don’t you?

So we’ll be closed on Wednesday, 8 December 2010, and open again at 9AM on Thursday morning, as per usual.

End-of-year closure

To help you plan ahead, here are the important dates for our end-of-year period:

Wednesday, 22 Dec, 1:00PM – The absolute latest you’ll need to place (and pay for) your order by, if you want it to arrive before Christmas.

You’ll need to order even earlier if you’re outside of the Express Post area (ask us if you’re not sure), or if it’s a large order.

Of course we’ll happily process your last minute order, but we just can’t guarantee it will arrive in time. So get in early, OK?

Thursday, 23 Dec, 1:00PM – When we close for our Christmas break.

Thursday, 13 Jan, 9:00AM – When we reopen after our Christmas break.

You’re more than welcome to place orders via the website during this period, but we won’t be answering the phones, shipping orders, or responding to emails until we reopen.
