Only 7 days left to win an Eber 230

Get your entry in now!

Entries close for our ‘Top Gear’ competition next Thursday, 30 November at midnight.

If you’ve been toying with the idea of entering, here’s some things you should know:

1. It’s really easy

Just work through the questions in the competition guidelines, and before you know it you’ll have your 200 words. You don’t need big words or impressive-sounding projects – just tell us what you’ve been doing.

2. Anyone can enter

Don’t think you have to be a business to enter our competition. The only requirement is that you’re using our stuff. So whether you’ve used one of our computers to build a robot, or secure your home network, we want to hear about it.

3. We want to publish your case study

That’s why we’re running this competition, after all. So if you’re worried your entry won’t be accepted, don’t be! We’ll help you make sure it’s good to go.

So what are you waiting for? Get cracking!

New net4801 case now available

Fit a full-height PCI card – and it’s blue!
Powdercoated in gloss blue, our new net4801 case has a larger space on the left and has access to one serial port. The new case fits standard height PCI cards (up to 103mm), making it ideal for setting up a net4801 as an Asterisk box for VOIP.

Visit our net4801 page or our cases page for more photos and information.

Great work, Neville!

New products

This month we have new reverse SMA pigtails, which use higher-quality u.fl connectors, instead of I-PEX. And for the same price, too!

We have limited stock of the old I-PEX rSMA pigtails, which we’ll ship when you order reverse SMA pigtails as an option, until they run out. If you specifically want u.fl pigtails, please let us know when you place your order, or just order them separately.

Price changes

We’ll there’s good news and bad news. Which do you want first?

OK, the good news is that we’ve been able to drop the price on our Senao 400mW miniPCI wireless cards to $160.

The bad news is that we’ve had to increase our shipping charges, but only a very little. Our charge for small orders (less than 500g) is now $10, instead of $9, but our other charges remain the same. Please visit our shipping information page to read more about our shipping charges.

Extra bits

Eber 230’s finally in stock

Following some manufacturing delays – and unexpected demand – we finally have stock of the Eber 230’s. Our apologies for the delay and thanks for your patience. Now go buy one!

Christmas & New Years information

Although we’ll be sending another newsletter in mid-December (to announce the winner of the Eber 230), to help you plan ahead, here are the important dates for our end-of-year period:

Tuesday, 19 Dec, 1:00PM – The absolute latest you’ll have to place (and pay for) your order by, if you want it to arrive before Christmas.

You’ll need to order even earlier if you’re outside of the Express Post area (ask us if you’re not sure), or if it’s a large order. Of course we’ll happily process your last minute order, but we just can’t guarantee it’ll arrive in time. So get in early, OK?

Wednesday 20 Dec, 5:30PM – When we close for our Christmas break.

Wednesday 10 Jan, 9:00AM – When we reopen after our Christmas break.

You’re more than welcome to place orders via the website during this period, but we won’t be answering the phones, shipping orders, or responding to emails until we reopen.

New electronic postcards

A big thank you to everyone who has filled out and returned one of our ‘How Did We Do?’ postcards in the past.

We have successfully trialled an electronic version of this survey, and as of 1 December 2006, we’ll start sending this to all of our customers. Instead of the paper version, you’ll receive an email a few days after your order with a link to a online version of the survey, saving you time and giving you more space to tell us what you think.

So when you receive your next order, don’t think we’ve stopped caring what you think. We still do, and we look forward to hearing how we can make things even better for you!
