And now for something completely different!
New and improved net4801 case
We're proud to present the new Yawarra net4801 case.
Here's what great about our net4801 case design:
  • it's powdercoated matt black
  • you get easy access to the second serial port via a serial extension cable to a DB9 connection mounted in the rear of the case
  • you can access the PCI card via a removable blanking plate - punch holes to suit your application, or leave it out altogether
  • it's a stylish black colour with matching hex screws
  • it has mounting holes on the underside of the case for attaching DIN rail clips (sold separately)
  • it's made from aluminium so it's light yet durable, and has excellent heat dissipation qualities
  • and it's manufactured right here in Australia
Did we mention it's black?

Happy Holiday Season!
Christmas & New Years information
We know, we know, it's only November and here we are talking about Christmas already. But since this will be our last news for 2005, this has to be done. So we'll make it as quick and painless as possible.
Tuesday, 20 Dec - The latest you should place (and pay for) your order, if you want it to arrive before Christmas.
You'll need to order even earlier if you're outside of the Express Post area (ask us if you're not sure). Of course we'll happily process your last minute order, but we just can't guarantee it'll arrive in time. So get in early, OK?
Friday 23 Dec, 5:30PM - When we close for our Christmas break.
You're more than welcome to place orders via the website during this period, but we won't be answering the phones, shipping orders, or responding to emails until we reopen.
Monday 9 Jan, 9:00AM - When we reopen after our Christmas break.
Please note that in 2006 our opening hours will be 9:00AM to 5:30PM, Monday to Friday, Melbourne time.
Have a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in 2005 and we look forward to seeing you again in 2006.

New products
We're now offering the WRAP 2 Outdoor (1A1E), which has only one antenna punchout in the case, giving you even more options when buying a WRAP 2 Outdoor.
Price changes
We've dropped the price of every CF card in our range by $5, but our supply of 64MB and 256MB SanDisk cards is almost exhausted, so you'd better be quick.
This means that the base price for our WRAP 1-1, WRAP 1-2, WRAP 2 Outdoor (2A1E) and net4801 packs have also gone down by $5.
Product changes
We haven't changed anything this month, but we're planning to do a bit of housekeeping on our shop for the new year. Keep an eye out for simpler options, some reorganisation and extra functionality.

Price changes
We've dropped the price of our reverse N-type pigtails and antennas by $5 each.
So if you don't care what polarity you use, you can save up to $20 on the price of a WRAP 2 Outdoor box or pack.
Our straight N-type male to u.fl pigtails are now also only $15 each.
Product changes
With the introduction of our new and improved WRAP 1 cases, we're planning to discontinue our anodised aluminium cases.

New case colours coming soon!
Watch this space...

64MB CF cards are here to stay
Introducing our new range of Biwin CF cards
Unfortunately, SanDisk have decided to discontinue their smaller CF cards, which means that the smallest card that SanDisk currently manufactures is 512MB. We will continue to stock the larger SanDisk CF cards, but once our current stocks of the smaller cards run out, we won't be able to get any more.
But because most open source software doesn't need a lot of space, we want to be able to continue offering you smaller CF card sizes. And, let's face it, you don't want to be paying for space you just don't need.
So we'd like to introduce our range of Biwin CF cards. Available in 64MB and 256MB, these cards work well in all of our WRAP and net4801 boards, and with all of the OS images we offer. During testing, we read and wrote a 1MB file to a Biwin card more than a million times over a period of 2 weeks, and not a single error occurred in that time.
We're very happy with the quality of the Biwin cards, and we've even managed to save you a bit of money in the bargain! The Biwin cards are $5 less than their SanDisk equivalent.
To learn more about our Biwin CF cards, please visit our CF cards page.
Now it's even easier to find what you want
Check out our new search facility
Now you can search our entire website and product range quickly and easily. There's a quick search box on the left of every page, so go crazy and find stuff!
In other news...
New products for September
This month we're introducing the Biwin CF cards to our range, with a 64MB card for $30 and a 256MB card for $45.
We now also offer straight polarity N-type waterproof omni antennas in both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz, to match our straight N-type pigtails.
Looking for new ways to use a WRAP 1-1 or 1-2 board? How about our 1RU rack-mounted server cases? With options for single or dual boards, these cases provide an ultra reliable solution for server applications that don't require a lot of processing power.
Product changes
There's now lots more CF cards to choose from when buying one of our WRAP 1-1, WRAP 1-2, WRAP 2 Outdoor or net4801 packs. Choose from SanDisk 64MB, 256MB, 512MB or 1GB or Biwin 64MB or 256MB.
Extra bits
To learn more about our new Biwin CF cards and Compact Flash cards in general, visit our new CF cards page.
We've also added a search function to our website, so now it's even easier to find what you want.

Having requested - and received - clarification from the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) regarding EMC compliance of our motherboards, we are pleased to now be able to offer the boards for sale without a case.
In order to comply with ACA emissions regulations, the boards will need to be housed in a suitable metal enclosure.

Our list of FAQs is slowly growing, so next time you have a question, maybe you can find the answer on our FAQ page. This month we've added information about using the CM9s in a laptop, about what our computers are - and aren't - and about discounts for quantity and resellers.
