| The ALIX series of boards continues the tradition from PC Engines of small form factor, fanless boards for embedded applications. |
The ALIX boards are designed for use as wireless routers, firewalls, load balancers, in a VPN, in industrial ethernet, as embedded controllers, or for other special purpose network applications. The ALIX 1 is ideal for use as a thin client. |

- 433 or 500MHz processor
- 128 or 256MB RAM
- miniPCI slots
- ethernet ports
- an IDE interface (Compact Flash and Microdrive only)

| There are three board configurations: |
- ALIX 1 - mini ITX form factor, with VGA, PS/2, audio and LPT support, 2.5" IDE HDD interface
- ALIX 2 - 153 x 153mm, with either 3 ethernet ports / 1 miniPCI slot or 2 ethernet ports / 2 miniPCI slot.
- ALIX 3 - 160 x 100mm, with 2 miniPCI slots / 1 ethernet port. The ALIX 3 replaces the WRAP 2.
- ALIX 6 (derived from the ALIX 2-2) - 153 x 153mm, with 2 ethernet ports / 1 miniPCI slot / 1 miniPCI Express slot plus 2 SIM card slots.
